I was pleasantly surprised because of the limited options for pescatarians but the vegetarian Dan Dan Noodles were delicious! OMG..the rice pudding is to die for! The pancake with eggs was yummy! Service was super helpful and ambiance was a little noisy but that's because it is a popular place...now I know why!!

I was surprised how good Joy was! We had tons of food and the price wasn't terrible for LA. Would recommend for those around the area. What we ordered: - Dan Dan Noodles: This was the best thing I ate here. It was insanely tasty, the noodles were the perfect texture, and the cucumbers were a great, fresh touch. It had the perfect amount of garlic too. Highly recommend ordering. - Minced Pork Over Rice: Also yummy. It was on the sweeter side for me, but overall tasty. - Mapo Tofu: Surprisingly had a kick to it, which I enjoyed. Paired well with everything. - Traditional Shaved Ice: Worth getting as a dessert! It's huge so just be aware. So it was so worth the price. Not overly sweet and had the right amount of everything. Service was great! It was very crowded but they handled everything very well.

The food was so gooooooood. The line wasn't that long for a Sunday evening either. This is more of a self-served place. The ambiance was nice. They have goods, merchandise inside and the quality is good. To the star of this review. Their food is phenomenal. My girlfriend and I are Asian and this place's food really hits our comfort spot. It feels like family dinner from grandmas. Even though we don't really like the Dan Dan noodles, other dishes were still amazing. We ordered a shrimp wonton, a shaken jasmine tea, a ground pork bowl, and a Dan Dan noodles. The ground pork could have been less salty but the shrimp wonton was perfect especially with their sauce. Their chili oil isn't spicy at all and it will be a mistake not to include it in your dish.

Food is incredible and the price is great. Truly rare for Los Angeles. Service is always friendly and swift even though it's always packed. Cute decor. One thing I especially appreciate about this place is transparent pricing. No hidden service fees or surcharges. And they don't charge extra for rice with your dish! 10/10 recommend.

I ordered takeout from here and everything was delicious. I got the Dan Dan Noodles, Briased tofu in a bun and shrimp wontons. I usually like Dan Dan noodles and these did not disappoint - noodles were fresh (they were a little clumpy) but flavors were great. The bean curd was on the clamshell bun was surprisingly delicious- I really liked how the bean curd was marinated - it has a lot of layers and flavors. The shrimp wontons were also good. The turnaround time was super quick - I ordered the through their website. I will definitely be back!

The line at Joy When I got there was pretty long. Be prepared to wait an hour or so to get seated if you come during busy hours. It doesn't look like you can make reservations either. The food was defitneily worth it in my opinion! We ordered a few things like the Dan Dan noodles, Sandwich, and the Chiayi chicken rice. My favorite was the dan Dan noodles. The sandwich was something I have never had anywhere else. The chicken rice was too bland for my taste.

What a great find! We accidentally found this place while were disappointed from another nearby spot. It was close to 10pm on a Friday night, even though it was almost their closing time we decided to give it a try. The lady taking orders welcomed us with a warm and smily face and said they are still able to serve us. We ordered a couple of items to share and enjoyed every single one of them. We were already planning our next visit while still there. Cannot wait to go back!

We ordered for delivery and it traveled well because everything was delicious! We ordered: - Thousand Layer Pancake w/egg & cheese: The pancake is so buttery and had a great chew. The cheddar cheese paired well with the egg. I think there was also a sauce but the flavor didn't stand out. - Wonton Noodle Soup - Perfect for a cold, rainy night. The broth was yummy and warmed me right up. The noodles were cooked well and we filling. - Spicy Shrimp Wonton - Do they sell the chili sauce by the jar?! The shrimp wontons were delicate and the sauce definitely rounded out the flavors. The spice level was nonexistent for me so I'm not sure how spicy this dish can get. It was delicious regardless of spice or not. I reheated the pancake and shrimp wontons the next morning....they were just as delicious! The pancake was still chewy and buttery. The wonton wrappers still had integrity. Not all leftovers can survive a trip to the fridge and microwave without losing some character. I'm saving the last star for an actual visit to their establishment. So far so good, I'm impressed and would highly recommend this place!
